Through MET admission process, the candidates will be able to apply for admissions into various B.Tech courses. However, the number of courses vary as per the campus. As one of the most popular private engineering entrance exams, the competition level of MET is pretty high. Students will have to be well prepared to perform well in the examination and have a higher chance of admission. Firstly, the students should check the official MET exam pattern and syllabus. It is important for the students to understand how the examination will be held and what has to be studied. Next, the students are advised to create a timetable that will allow them to cover the syllabus before the examination. Mock tests should be attempted and the students should ensure that they revise for the examination regularly. Students are also advised to check and refer to the best books for MET preparation.

MET English section is to assess the fundamental knowledge of the candidates in English language, grammar and usage. To perform well in the English section, the students should have primary knowledge of word usage, matching of subject and verbs, correct usage of tenses, and grammatically correct sentences acceptable in standard written
communication. Some of the books that the students can refer to for MET English section are Objective General English by SP Bakshi, Wren n Martin revised by Dr. NDV Prasada Rao and General Aptitude by RS Agarwal.

MET exam pattern consisted of the details regarding how the examination was held. As per the official MET exam pattern, the examination was held as a computer-based test at various centres. The total duration of the examination was 2 hours. Candidates had to answer Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and Numerical Answer Type (NAT). For every correct answer, the candidate was allotted four marks. There was no negative marking for Numerical Answer Type (NAT) but one mark was deducted for every wrong answer in Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).

Previous year papers are the best references to understand the weightage and recognize the important topics of the MET Chemistry section. Some of the important topics to be studied in the MET Chemistry section are Carboxylic Acid and Its Derivatives, Carbonyl Compounds - Aldehydes and Ketones, Classification of Elements and Periodicity in Properties, Some Basic Concepts of Chemistry Mole Concept, Coordination Compounds, Redox Reactions and Volumetric Analysis, Ionic Equilibrium, Chemical bonding and molecular structure, Chemical Thermodynamics Atomic structure, General organic Chemistry and Biomolecules and Polymers.

MET 2023 syllabus for the English section covers the General English of the 10+2th level. The syllabus covered all of the topics that will help to assess the ability to grasp fundamental concepts in English language, grammar and usage. The syllabus included Tense, Subject, Pronouns and Determiners/ Use of proper articles/ Prepositions, Linkers, Sentence structure, Usages in English Synonyms/ Question Tags, One-word substitutions, Commonly confused pair of words and Sentence completion.

MAHE is expected to conduct three rounds of MET 2023 counselling excluding intra-institute and online spot round. The details regarding the MET counselling 2023 have been announced online. Candidates will be allowed to freshly register and submit their choice of course and campus for every round. Already registered candidates who are not satisfied with their allotment can also modify their choices during the further rounds of MET counselling. Separate allotment results will be announced for every round. Candidates will be eligible to participate in all rounds of MET counselling.

Creating a timetable is very important during the preparation process since it will allow the students to understand the time that they are left to complete the syllabus and be prepared for the examination. While preparing the timetable, the students should ensure that it should be personalized and as per their abilities. Students are advised to divide the subjects and topics into different slots so that the studying process does not become monotonous. The timetable should also have enough time for mock test, revision and previous year papers.

While preparing for MET 2023 Mathematics section, the students should be well aware of which units and topics have to be studied for the examination. Students can refer to the NCERT and board examination books to prepare for the Mathematics section of MET. However, the students are also advised to refer to important books such as Class XII Mathematics by RD Sharma, Problems in Calculus by SL Loney, Higher Algebra by Hall and Knight and Trigonometry Geometry Books by IA Maron. By checking different references and study materials, the students will have a higher chance of performing well in the entrance examination.

Revision is very important for the candidates to do well in the entrance examination. Students are advised to revise daily for a few hours so that they are able to retain what they had earlier studied. Revision is also helpful in allowing the students to go through the difficult topics again and trying to understand the concepts. If the candidates regularly revise then they will have lesser chances of forgetting what they had studied and will be able to perform well in the entrance examination. While creating a timetable, the students are advised to allot a few hours everyday for revision.
