Types of Scholarships Offered by MAHE Manipal
- Entrance Exam Rank- Based: Offered to top rankers in national/ university entrance tests such as NEET (for MBBS/ BDS) and MET (for BTech/ BPharm).
- Merit-Based PG: Awarded to students taking admission into MD, MDS, DM, and MCH programmes based on qualifying degree marks and recognised council approvals.

- BTech (Freeship, Scholar, Achiever):
- Must pass Class 12 with at least 80% aggregate in Mathematics + Physics + Optional Subject.
- Secure a qualifying rank in the Manipal Entrance Test (MET).
- For renewal/continuation, students must maintain a minimum 8.0 CGPA with no backlogs in Semester 1.
- BPharm (Freeship, Scholar, Achiever):
- Must secure 80% aggregate in Chemistry + Physics + Biology/Mathematics in Class 12.
- Fall within the designated MET rank slabs.
- PG Medical / Dental / Super Speciality (MD, MDS, DM, MCh):
- Hold a recognised qualifying degree from an institution approved by the National Medical Commission (NMC) or Dental Council of India (DCI).
Scholarship Amount and Benefits
- 100% Course & Hostel Fee Waiver: Provided under the Kalam- Pai scheme for top NEET rankers in MBBS and BDS.
- Full or half fee waivers are offered to BTech and BPharm students based on their MET ranks or yearly CGPA.
- Scholarships under Freeship and Scholar Schemes are generally limited to 5% of the General Category intake per branch or programme.
Fees After Scholarship
- Kalam - Pai Scholarship Holders (MBBS/BDS): Students receiving this scholarship get a 100% waiver on both course fees and hostel fees, reducing the tuition and hostel payable amount to zero (excluding minor incidental or administrative charges).
- Freeship & Scholar Category Holders (BTech/BPharm): Students receive partial to full waivers on their tuition fees as per their MET rank slabs.
- Additional Charges: Hostel occupancy, mess charges, library fees, and security deposits are billed separately unless explicitly covered under a 100% full-waiver scheme like Kalam - Pai.

Placements: I am in my first year, so I do not know much about placements, but according to seniors and publicly available sources, the placements are decent. Although as far as I know, the current placement packages are high, the number of students placed is getting lower and lower, which is a concern. However, due to its great reputation, students of MIT still get a lot of opportunities. Also, due to student projects, many students get guaranteed internships.
Placements: Placements were good. The college had a placement cell that managed placements for students. It invited companies from different sectors. Companies like Amazon, Deloitte, Accenture, Reliance, HCL, Hyundai, HDFC Bank, YES Bank, and Axis Bank visited the college. These companies made several offers to students. The average package was around 4.5 LPA. The highest package was 28 to 38 LPA. Companies conducted interview sessions, practical tests, & group discussions to select students. Students neede...
Placements: College is new, so we don't know much about placements yet. Placements are merged with the main campus only, so one can see the companies coming through that only, but placements won't be merged for the upcoming batches. So it will be like a gamble.
Placements: With a placement percentage of over 90%, MIT Manipal is definitely one of the best engineering colleges in the country. Top recruiters include Oracle, Hitachi, HP, Amazon, and others. Top placements include 54 LPA. The average is around 12 LPA.
Placements: Placements are good. MCOHS Manipal has been ranked No. 1 for many years, so it has a really good reputation. Companies and hospitals tend to prefer students from our college for internships and work. Our college provides a 1-year compulsory internship, so it's a great opportunity for everyone.
Placements: The college is known for fostering a diverse learning environment and is attached to two government hospitals and a private hospital, giving exposure to all types of clinical skills, and a good reputation, especially abroad. It is highly regarded both nationally and internationally.
