Manipal is one of the best university in India. Information Technology is really a good field and has lot of scope. Pursuing IT in a reputed university like Manipal will make you land in a dream job. The placements are really good there.

Not many companies come for placements at present. A few like Honeywell, Global Aerospace, GE etc come. I don't have any information about the package.
