This institution gives 50% weightage to the marks obtained in 12th and hence good score in board exam matters a lot. This institution over the years has acquired quite a good reputation for not only academics but also for good placements. This causes many students to apply and this in turn increases the closing ranks or closing percentile that students must get for a reasonable chance of getting admission. Though this institute does not put out this information in public domain, one has to go by the secondary or tertiary sources of information. Yes , JEE mains are accepted for B.Tech. in Marine Engineering in MANET . As candidates must passed 10+2 with PCM as subject and got 60% or more aggregate marks and in 50% in English . The selection process is based on MANET CET (PERA) or IMU CET scores, merit in the qualifying examination, personal interview, and medical test.

Aspirants must pass bachelor's degree in any discipline with at least 40% aggregate for General Category (35% aggregate for under and sub-category) to apply for MAJMC course. Candidates who have appeared for final year degree exam can also apply. Additionally, aspirants must pass ISBJ CET for admission to the MAJMC course. 

Hello Nishar Ahmed, comparing North Maharashtra University at Jalgaon, which is public or state university with MIT which is a private university at Pune is okay as far as academics or placements is concerned. But it's not correct to compare fees. This is so on two counts. Firstly, fees charged by public institutions are many a times subsidised by the Govt whereas fees of students have to cover all the expenses of the institution. Secondly, public universities have plenty of colleges affiliated to it which could again be public or private. Meaning fees for identical courses will be different in two colleges under the same university. This is not the case with deemed to be or private universities. Here college and university are one and the same for all practical purposes. So is the case here in the query.          Fees for food technology courses at undergraduate level in MIT is INR7.04L, for PG it's INR3.42L and for PG Diploma it's INR84200.00. On the other hand fees vary under different colleges under North Maharashtra University for undergraduate courses from INR1.55L to INR4L. Similar is the case for PG and PG Diploma courses in food technology and even in other courses also. Best wishes to you.
