Electrical engineering is one of the most demanding branches in engineering. All the NITs are good enough and maintain good standard in education as well as other facility. The placements in NIT Rourkela are good. The companies come and accept the students with good packages. PSUs recruit with the highest packages. Renowned companies like Schneider electric recruit the students for the internship as well as pre-placement offer. The branch has an average package of about 5-6 lacs per annum.
Infrastructure: It has the second the largest campus area in India, and infrastructure is the beauty of this college. The institute has cricket ground, football ground, volleyball courts, an indoor hall for badminton, swimming pool, basketball courts, and court for lawn tennis are available for the students.
Faculty: The faculty members are highly qualified and knowledgeable with apt knowledge of the theoretical and practical application and have high experience. The students are impaired with apt knowledge of the subject and helping the students to get deep into the understanding. They inspire us a lot. My priority order would be:

Both the NIT are good enough and have equal importance. Both the NIT provide good branch and have equally good placement statistics. NIT, Rourkela is one of the best engineering colleges in India. With the best infrastructure and very good placements, it gives many opportunities to the students pursuing engineering in this institute. The college not only welcomes the students to pursue engineering but also offers higher study opportunities. It has an updated curriculum and the best faculty. The college has the best infrastructure and with numerous facilities, it is one of the best colleges not only in East India but also in India. It has a huge campus area and ten hostels. Also, it has four nice restaurants on the campus. Auto facilities are available just in front of the hostels. Very good faculty and nice exposure. Always update the course which is helpful to the students. The course is always updated and the college has well-equipped labs and all kinds of modern technologies. Modern machines and equipment can be found in almost all the branches of engineering in the campus. Each branch of engineering has its own building. This college is one of the very few colleges to give admission in courses like ceramic, mining, and metallurgy. The faculty is very helpful. A proper and systematic way of teaching is done here. Both NIT Agartala and NIT Rourkela are good. In case of CSE in NIT Agartala, Placements: Placement is not very much impressive. Because of its remote location few companies are willing to visit for campus placements. Placement for CSE branch is comparatively good. 90% of the job offers come from IT sector. Placement for non CSE branches are not good. Generally 2u20133 IT service based companies (like Infosys, IBM, Wipro, Tech Mahindra etc. ). Visit for mass campus drives. They hire like 70u2013150 people in a slot. Then some product based IT companies (like Samsung, Oracle, information edge etc. ). Also come. They hire like 2u20137 people in a slot. Then there are some other non IT companies like MuSigma, L&T, Kirlosker, Vedanta etc. Also come. PSUs also pay visit as well at the very end of the placement session. Overall placement for CSE is better. To get a good job you need to be in top layer of your branch. Its actually not so easy to get a job from NITA. But, each year the placement statistics is improving, average package is 6-7 LPA. Chemical Engineering is one of the oldest branches of NIT Rourkela. It has some of the best faculty members and infrastructure on campus. The department recently underwent a massive renovation and up-gradation providing it with infrastructure and logistics at par with international establishments. Placements are similar to other branches of NIT Rourkela. A lot of students undertake higher studies, in India and abroad, in fields such as Materials, Processing, Nanotechnology, Extraction etc. Many of them are pursuing their MS/MS-PhD in some of the most prestigious universities of the world. Congratulations for such an amazing score. There are many best colleges all over India, where you can easily get admission. Honestly, it seems quite difficult for getting into IITs, but you can surely get admission in other reputed institutes. As per the past records, for NIT Rourkela also, there is good chance as the closing rank for general candidates of Biotechnology engineering is around 28407. Biotechnology engineering is a new branch and is growing widely in these few years. It has gained importance in the past few years and its placement statistics has also grown to a wide range.I would like to add that, if you want to join Biotechnology. NIT Rourkela is the best among all NITs.
It has a good set of professor, high quality instruments and best learning environment.
The sector of Biotechnology is a booming sector, which is growing slowly in India, but it has a bright future in upcoming 4 to 5 years. It is not like companies are not there, due to lack of communication and new department, it is lacking in jobs. But, it is growing it's wings and the placement statistics are growing as well.
