The total tuition fee for MSc courses is INR 30,000 and INR 75,000 for the BSc + MSc integrated courses. Apart from this, the total course fee includes other components such as hostel fee, admission fee, caution money and institute emergency fund as well. Candidates can visit the institute's official website for more details as the mentioned fee is as per unofficial sources and can vary.
NIT Rourkela fee refund policy states that after the last withdrawal/cancellation date of JOSSA 2026, if an admitted student cancels admission/ withdraws/leaves the institute without completing the entire programme, all fees paid including the caution deposit will be forfeited by the institute. Mess advance may be refunded after deduction of dues, if any. This clause is applicable even before formal registration to the 1st semester and starting of classes.

Yes, NIT Rourkela offers equal opportunity to students to apply for the scholarships. Some of the scholarships provided by the university are PMS (Post-Matric Scholarships) (for SC-ST students) given by Orissa Government, Indian Oil Scholarships, and others.
