Faculty: Supportive professors and administrative staff.
Placements: Infosys, TCS, Capgemini, etc. and all service-based companies are our regular recruiters. Microsoft and Google have visited the campus and gave the highest package of 2500000. Tata Ceramics, Cera, and Vedanta recruit ceramic engineers. All of us are placed in my batch from Ceramic Engineering. Alumni is very strong for our NIT; this is more than 60-year-old college. I have no idea on startups from my batch.
Infrastructure: We have dual sharing rooms and single sharing rooms divided across 11 different hostels. Meal quality is quiet horrible but edible. Registration for the hostel and its affordability are quite stringent. But there is a provision for pure vegetarian eaters among all hostilities.
Faculty: The M.Tech program at NIT Rourkela features a well-structured curriculum with a mix of core and elective courses. The faculty members are experienced and well-qualified. I selected this program for its Ph.D. or equivalent degrees and its academic reputation, industry connections, and research opportunities. NIT Rourkela maintains a favorable faculty-to-student ratio, ensuring individualized attention and guidance. The faculty holds employs a practical, application-oriented teaching approach. Term exams are typically conducted on schedule, and pass difficulty varies by course, with ample support provided for success.

Good placements and an institute of national importance.
Placements: Almost 100 percent of the people who sat for the placement got placed. The top recruiting companies were Google, Microsoft, Deloitte, Qualcomm, etc. The average package is around 15 LPA, with 24 LPA for CSE students. Internships are based on luck; some people get on-campus internships, whereas those who do not will get off-campus internships just because of the college brand. The top roles offered are software engineer, data analyst, data scientist, etc.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are good. The Wi-Fi speed is okay. Classrooms are neat and clean and fit a specific number of students. The library is open from 10 AM to 10 PM, and if exams are coming up, it will be open until 12 PM. The mess food is okay, but at times, there will be insects in it. Since the campus is 1200 acres, it has a football ground, cricket ground, swimming pool, etc. The canteen's hygiene is okay, and the prices are also low.
Faculty: Some teachers are lenient and helpful, whereas others are too strict and do not give any marks for corrections. They do not teach properly, so we have to learn everything on our own. In the first year, all branches have the same subjects, which will be harder in the first semester. Once you reach the second year, things get easier. Semester exams are of medium difficulty. There are two exams: mid-semester exams and end-semester exams, with each worth 30 and 50 marks, respectively, and 20 marks for internal assessment. The pass mark is 35/100.

Campus Life at NIT ROURKELA (INTEGRATED M.Sc. MATHEMATICS).
Placements: Around 50% student who applied were placed, but the opportunities for Int. M.Sc. student were very less, although Maths was better than all the other three branches. Also, if you have a very keen interest in coding then you can go for it. No coursework include or shall help you in the placement process. There are few companies who come for teaching Like Aakash, Fiit JEE Byjus etc. But ezcept FIITJEE and AAKASH there packages are too low.
Infrastructure: Overall infrastructure for college is very good, its a very beautiful campus you can never get bored of it. But again talkinh about Int. M.Sc. you will be very dissapointed whilst comparing to other B.Teach bramches. Hostels are great there are badminton courts and volleyball courts in all hostels. Food was also great in our time cant say for now. Hostels activities are very engaging intra hostel tournaments inter hostel tournaments and many more things.
Faculty: Faculty members are great, there are some teachers whom you might find not so engaging but on the other hand there are some professors who are more than willing to help, Curriculum is basically of pure Maths you won't get any taste of applied Maths so don't expect anything more from it.
Other: If you have a very keen interest in Maths then you xan go for it, else I won't suggest to go for int. M.Sc. math just for the sake of getting into NIT. Also the math that you will be taught here will be completely different from what you have learnt in 11th and 12th.

Insights, intents, and incentives.
Placements: Nearly 100% of students are placed in our course every year, with the highest package being 32 to 40 lakhs per annum and the lowest around 3 to 4 lakhs per annum. The average package for our Electrical Engineering course this year is 14 lakh per annum.
Infrastructure: The quality of food in the allotted hostel is quite questionable, but the rest of the facilities are pristine. The rooms are divided into double sharing and single sharing across 11 hostels. The other facilities provided throughout the campus compensate for the lack of management.
Faculty: Some faculty members are encouraging and patient in their teaching, while most are egoistic and harsh in their marking. However, they are all highly talented in their respective fields. Many are incredible researchers, allowing students to participate in highly technical and rewarding research projects.
Other: The campus is filled with lush green plants and well-maintained cleanliness, though it is less developed in some areas. The structural integrity of the campus is questionable, as the buildings have various structural mishaps. However, the college offers numerous clubs that allow students to enjoy their campus and college life to the fullest.

NIT Rourkela: A lot more to explore.
Placements: According to the placements of 2023, the highest package offered in our is 83 lakhs per annum, and the average package is 15 lakhs per annum. The placement statistics of my branch are good, with students securing jobs in many sectors like manufacturing, automotive, IT, and consulting. The top recruiters were Tata Steel, Mahindra, L&T, etc.
Infrastructure: Our classrooms are well maintained. There are air conditioners in each and every class. The digital board and the projectors are something exciting to learn. The library consists of more than ninety thousand books and provides a fruitful environment to study. The mess food quality is moderate, but the hygiene is taken care of by the authority. There is a health centre where they provide medicines for free. Sports and games facilities are numerous, ranging from indoor games to outdoor games.
Faculty: The faculties are knowledgeable and well qualified. Most of the professors have pursued their PhD degrees from IITs. The faculties are ready to clear our doubts. They also help to solve those problems that do not involve academics. The difficulty of exams depends on students. If the concepts of the student are clear, then no one can stop him or her from getting a good CGPA. If you secure a 7.5 CGPA or above, then it is considered good.
Other: I was not able to perform well in the joint entrance examination. But due to having a category, I got this course, and my rank permitted this branch. If you are pursuing mechanical engineering at NIT Rourkela, then it is a good choice to have good placement projects. In mechanical engineering, the course demands theoretical knowledge as well as practical applications. There are various scholarships available. If your income is below 1 lakh, then the tuition fees are completely free. You need to pay one-third of the tuition fee if your income lies between 1 lakh and 5 lakhs.
