The highest package from NIT-Silchar is 35 LPA offered by World-Quant . The second highest package was from Irage - Capital of 20 LPA (off campus ) and third is 15.5 LPA from Snapdeal e-commerce.

If the fee structure is not an issue then BITS, Pilani offers much more than any NIT. Obviously, BITS is better but it also depends on the branch that you are getting.

Both universities are good at providing facilities and good faculty. Both universities offer this course. Admission in Delhi University in M.Sc. Based on the entrance exam and same as in NIT. More than 30+ colleges offer this course under Delh

NIT Silchar is good for mechanical branch but take mechanical only if you have high interest in Physics. Or else, go for EE.
IIEST Shibpur is also good but for Civil and CSE.
