Yes, without a question. B.E. MEE from TU is way more valued than B.E. EE in almost every respect.

Let me correct you its BE mechanical engineering not B.Tech in Thapar University.
The BE mechanical engineering programme is accredited by the engineering accreditation commission of ABET. The department has aligned its curriculum with that of Trinity College Dublin (University of Dublin, Ireland) as part of the academic collaboration to impart global standard education to the students.
Only handful of colleges throughout India hold this Accreditation.
If you go back to history, B.E Mechanical Engineering in TU was considered the best in terms of facilities, faculty, and placements and this continues till today.
Opportunities that you will get after completing BE in Mechanical Engineering will include tech as well as non-tech companies with packages varying from 4-8 LPA and 4-12 respectively.
For supporting data you can go through the following link with details of 2015 placement drive of BE mechanical.

CSE at NSIT is the best option. It is located in the capital hence more exposure for you.

Surely, if you are a hardworking student and you couldn't get admission in IIT, then this is the right platform. So, go for it without hesitation.
