Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology to Hold Online Open Day on September 21

September 18, 2020: During the difficult times of the global pandemic situation, the admission 2020 across the courses and institutes throughout the country have been impacted. The aspirants will be offered the opportunity to virtually visit the campus and explore key features of the infrastructure of Thapar University, engage with senior faculty members and gain career advancement insights from a range of well known Thapar graduates. Students will communicate digitally with placements and industry connect department to understand what kind of skill sets the corporate world is looking for these days.

To attend the session, register on the institute’s official website.

One of the best private colleges in Rajasthan.

Placements: The reputation of placement of this college was one of the best among the private colleges. The average package was 8 LPA. The highest package was above 15 LPA. The main companies for recruiting were TCS, Tata Motors, Microsoft, Mahindra, Maruti Suzuki, etc. The roles that were offered were production engineer, design engineer, quality engineer, etc. The internship in my course was very good in the local area.

2026 Thapar University Review. Placements, life and admission.

Placements: My branch has the best placement in the whole college, from software tech roles to electronics core roles to non-tech roles that were offered. This year, 98% placement record with an average package near to 19 LPA. Placement is decently good. Our college also has a minimum cap for companies; any company offering below 7.2 LPA is not allowed in the placement season. Despite that, 500+ companies visit every year.

It is an okay college if you don't have any other options, but it's very expensive.

Placements: In my branch, around 80% of the students got placed, and the average package is around 11 to 12 LPA. The top recruiting companies are from computer or electronics, and the majority of the people go for computer jobs in my branch. According to the fees of the college, the placements are not that great, but if you really work hard, you can make something of yourself and achieve a good package. The college also has a 50% quota for Punjab residents. AI branches have also been introduced, so it might...

Good university for BBA students, with supportive faculty and decent campus facilities.

Placements: I am a BBA student of the recent batch. Placement opportunities in our course are moderate. Around 40 to 50 percent of students get placed through the campus placement. The highest package is around 17 LPA, and the lowest package is around 10 LPA. Around 60 to 70 percent of students got internships during my course.

It has really good infrastructure.

Placements: From my senior batch, approximately 2,200 students got placed. The lowest package offered ranges from 6-7 LPA, and the highest package offered is 42 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Amazon, Brain, American Express, JP Morgan, and Morgan Stanley. Top roles offered are SDE, data analyst, interns, and product management. Meesho also visits here. Approximately 300 companies come here to hire students from my college.

Computer Science Engineering (CSE) at Lovely Professional University is kinda one of the university’s strongest and most well known programs, mainly because of its placement chances, current specializations, and real industry touch. In practice, the degree gives core CSE and then also goes into thin

There isn't really one "must-have" book for LEET that everyone follows. Most students I know used a mix of diploma-level textbooks, previous year papers and aptitude practice books.

A friend preparing for LEET focused more on solving past papers than collecting lots of books, and he felt that helped

From what I've seen, MBA admissions at Thapar Institute usually need around 60–65 percentile in CAT and 150–190+ score in NMAT for a decent chance. Cutoffs can vary a bit every year depending on applications.

But honestly, interview and overall profile bhi kaafi matter karta hai, not just the exam sc

CS seats at Thapar are quite competitive, so it really depends on your JEE percentile or 12th marks. Agar score decent hai, chances definitely hain. Percentile bata do, fir better idea de sakta hu.

COE at Thapar has pretty good placement opportunities, especially if you're interested in software and tech roles. Personally, I'd pick COE at Thapar over Civil at DTU if your goal is placements and a career in tech. Branch usually matters more in this comparison.
