Of course NIT's are better as they are government institutions. Thapar University and VIT Vellore are private institutions. No doubt they have a good reputation specially VIT Vellore but I would suggest to go for NIT Jalandhar.

It depends upon the counselling of university. There are around 1240 seats in the B. Tech/BE courses at Thapar University. To be considered for Thapar University B.Tech Admission 2017 candidates will also have to meet the eligibility criteria
