To get a seat in Mumbai University for M.Sc. in Biotechnology, follow these steps:
1. Check the eligibility criteria: The learner must have passed a three-year integrated course degree examination of this University or any other University recognised as equivalent thereto with at least Seven Units in Biotechnology.
2. Obtain the application form: The forms for the said course are made available at the department office every year after the TYBSc results in Biotechnology of University of Mumbai are declared (between May-June).
3. Fill and submit the application form: Submit the filled application form along with the required documents and fees.
4. Check the admission schedule: The admission schedule is notified on the website as well as the department notice board every year between June-September.
5. Check the number of seats available: There are a total of 20 seats + 1 seat for Jammu Kashmir migrants, with reservations as per University Rules.
6. Check the fee structure: The fee structure for the M.Sc. in Biotechnology course is available on the University website.
7. Check the course curriculum: The course curriculum is available on the University website.
8. Check the admission procedure: Admissions are strictly on the basis of merit, and the learners will be admitted to the said course on the basis of the marks obtained at the T.Y.B.Sc examination.
