For all branches, the first-year syllabus is pretty much same like physics, chemistry, maths (calculus), EEE, EVS, Ethics and values. Hope this helps.

Sorry, it is not possible to get mechanical in the first category, but you may get in the 3rd category. But, you have to pay more fees for that.

The placements at VIT are way much good compared to all the other colleges. The college and faculty are preparing all the students to get placed in all of the leading companies. VIT has also set a record for placing the most number of students in a single year. The placements are good, and the salary packages are nice. We know about the dream and super dream companies. Dream company means it offers more than 10 lakhs per annum and super dream company means it offers 30 lakhs per annum. If you want to get a job in super dream company, then you have to maintain CGPA 9 in every semester.

RVCE is better than VIT and SRM. RVCE focuses on each and every student of every branch and that's the reason they have limited number of seats in each branch. Bangalore is the IT capital so most of the students prefer computer Science as the 1st priority, but seeing there teaching methodology you can take any branch as per your interest and you will be in safe hands. RVCE is one of the few colleges which is highly into research work. Having a good research environment is very much required for the proper growth & learning of the students. They have maintained the research labs as per the international level.
