You will get mechanical branch in VIT, Vellore but in second or third category (i. e. you have to pay more for that desired branch). Let me explain you the admission system here. Rank in VIT to get admission should be 90,000, so you can get admission in VIT from the 6th category as well. There are various categories as well. With each category admission, fees go high. First category closed till 15,000 rank, and you can get Mechanical till 16000 rank but there are 2nd category as well, if you want mechanical, but you have to pay more for that. It depends only on your rank. I got INR 50,000 scholarship from VIT with 9288 rank. Top 10000 students got INR 50000 scholarship and the rank between 10000-20000 got INR 25000 scholarship and yes they also provide the scholarship for the students whose financial conditions are not good but you have to submit the proof for that.

These are all fake rumors who I aslo believed before taking admission here but let me tell u my friend VIT Vellore rules are very strict and they do not allowed such things in vit. Last sem 4 students got suspended because they bring alcohol to campus and got caught so they suspended for one semester with fine. After taking admission, they give you three affidavits:
1) No ragging
2) No alcohol or drugs
3) No property damage
Otherwise, you will be given punishment for that.

No, it is not possible. In fact, chances are low for VIT Bhopal also. So, you should refer other colleges to get admission.
