There is no such cutoff for any branch. Your admission is purely based on the result and you just need to attend the counselling based on your rank for the branch.

When it comes between SRM and VIT, VIT university is only better. But as you haven't qualified VITEEE examination you need to go for SRM university only. It is also a good university for engineering. So, you can go for it.
