Hi,
Most colleges have a different provision for admission. You need to contact the institute officials personally for specific admission details as it differs from one college to another.
Hope this information helps. Please feel free to revert.

Dear Maneesh Upadhyaya
Both Manipal and VIT are very good institutes for engineering.
The advantage of the courses offered in VIT is flexible course system and timing. A course will be taught by different professors at different times. You can choose your timings and professor of your own choice. The possibility of learning multidisciplinary courses are very high. That is, if you study mechanical, you can opt subjects from any department according to your area of interest.
For example, lot of developments are going on in automobile sector with the help of electronics engineering. A B.Tech mechanical engineering student can opt related electronics subjects, according to his requirement as part of his curriculum.
All the best.

HI,
VIT is a better option, but you should not limit your college options. I would recommend you to go for other good colleges like:
1. KNS.
2. Reva.
3. Ramaiyah.
4. UTM (best for computer science).
5. UPES Dehradun (one of the best for core sector

If you really are looking for Automobile Engineering then I would definitely suggest you UPES among all these as it has one of the best placement for mechanical, automobile, and petroleum sector as in the end it is the placement that matters.
Moreover, the faculty is better than the colleges you want to go for, the number of students placed every year speaks about it. Even Ramaiyah is good but it is in the south, so the best option for you will be UPES Dehradun. Anyway, I have mentioned the colleges here it is upon you to go with the choice.

Congratulations for your achievement. VIT,Vellore is one of the best management colleges in Tamil Nadu.Their placements and educational quality are well known. Your decision is good but not the best.
Through MAT you will be able to make into tier -II and below colleges but not tier-I colleges. As you got 1.5 years of experience and if you are good in your previous academics then I'll suggest you to write CAT or XAT and try to join tier-I colleges such as IIM's,XLRI,MDI,IMI etc. Also you can consider NIBM,Pune along with these colleges. NIBM is a product of Reserve Bank of India especially made for Finance stream. It will improve your job opportunity and pay scale much better.
Aim for the best first and after that you can consider good. All the best.
