Yes, Cloud Computing is usually brought into the B.Tech CSBS (Computer Science and Business Systems) syllabus at Lovely Professional University, but not always in the same way. Sometimes it shows up as a core topic, sometimes it is treated like an elective, and other times it comes through industry oriented modules, which depends on the particular curriculum update. Because CSBS is made to match current job market needs, students end up getting exposure to newer technologies like cloud computing, data analytics, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and digital business systems. In a sense, this helps them gain practical skills that

Chandigarh University has a course that's really good. The course is B.E./B.Tech CSE with a specialisation in Cloud Computing. I think this Cloud Computing course is great because it is designed with the help of companies. This means we learn about the ideas behind Cloud Computing and we also get to practice what we learn. We get to learn about architecture and virtualization and DevOps and a few other things like distributed computing and the new cloud platforms. We learn all these things by doing projects and working in labs and getting certificates. The things we learn are the things that companies are looking for now. So when we fi

As a student I believe B.Tech CSE with a specialisation in Cloud Computing at Chandigarh University is an option for those interested in cloud technologies. The programme is offered with IBM. Provides industry-oriented curriculum, specialised labs, live projects and professional certifications. Students get to work with platforms like AWS and other cloud technologies through hands-on training. Cloud computing is growing fast in IT. This specialisation can lead to jobs in cloud engineering, system administration and software development. However your job prospects will still depend on your coding skills, projects, internships and certif

I think the placement opportunities for B.E. CSE Cloud Computing at Chandigarh University is really good. This is because the programme is done with IBM and it focuses on the kind of cloud technologies that companies are looking for. Yes, you can specialize in Cloud Computing after BTech CS or even during it, for that matter. You have some simple options to do the same -

  • Choose your electives accordingly. Indulge in relevant projects and internships to grab jobs in the said domain.
  • People often get into some additional certificate programs to gain expertise in a particular tech field during their official degree.
  • You can choose the Cloud Computing specialisation during your M.Tech degree too.
  • Cloud Computing is more of a sub-branch of IT & Software rather than an engineering branch itself. But pursuing it as a field of expertise is definitely possible.

Choosing a better course is a subjective take. All you can do for yourself is have a bit of introspection. Have an overview of the tools, languages, syllabus, projects and job roles.

To give you an introductory idea -  Cloud computing is all about services like storage, servers and databases provided over the web. Whereas cyber security field deals with protecting your systems and data from external attacks. Honestly, both are high-demand fields right now.

Some things like networking essentials, basic programming, Python, scripting, operating systems, Linux, etc. can be helpful for you before starting your academics in cloud computing. They are not compulsory for admission.

Other prerequisites largely depend on the level of your academic journey you are at as of now.
