Under the Free Messing scheme, a student can avail of a free messing (only basic menu) facility and a pocket allowance of INR 250 per month. Such students are also exempted from payment of hostel room rent. In case a student does not seek free messing, he/she gets a pocket allowance of INR 1,000 per month. IIT Roorkee under its Department of Management Studies (DOMS) offers a two-year MBA programme across five specialisations. It is a full-time residential programme which is divided into eight terms. MBA admission at IIT Roorkee is offered based on CAT score, followed by the performance of candidates in the PI round. However,  JEE Advanced-qualified IIT Graduates with CGPA 7 or above on a 10-point scale are exempted from the initial shortlisting process and are directly called for the PI round. The selection criteria is divided into two caregories:Category-1  (Graduates applying on the basis of CAT score) - CAT score: 60%, PI: 30%, Work experience: 10%Category-2  (IIT graduates admitted through JEE Advanced) - PI: 100%Based on the above distribution the candidates are selected for MBA programme.

Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Mohali is an autonomous public institution. IISER Mohali was established in 2007 and is well known for its Postgraduate and Doctoral courses. IISER Mohali has been ranked 50 by NIRF 2023 among the top Research Institutes in India. The Institute offers Integrated PhD, PhD and BS-MS Dual Degree programmes. The flagship programme of IISER Mohali is BS-MS Dual Degree. The placement report for the 2023 drive is not released as of now. However, the NIRF report 2023 is out. According to the report, 3 BSc students were placed during IISER Mohali placements 2022. Further, the median package offered to BSc students was INR 8 LPA.IIT Roorkee is accredited by NAAC and is approved by AICTE and UGC. Established in 1847, IIT Roorkee is the seventh IIT recognised as an Institution of National Importance. It is a public-technical research university located in Uttarakhand. It is the oldest technical institution in Asia that was given university status in 1949. The university offers 14 undergraduate (UG), 24 postgraduate (PG), and various other PhD courses to the students through its school, and 23 departments across the fields of Engineering, Science, Architecture, Management, and Social Sciences. As per the placement report, the institute has achieved a 100% placement rate during the MBA placement drive of 2023. IIT Roorkee accepts IIT JAM scores for admission to the MSc course. Analysing the IIT JAM cutoff, MSc in Economics was turned out to be the most competitive specialisations when compared it with the other four specialisations. For Mathematics, the Round 1 and the Last Round closing ranks were 247 and 272, respectively for the Economically Weaker Section category candidates for the All India Quota. So, considering the 2023 cutoff ranks, yes a candidate can get into IIT Roorkee with 200 rank in IIT JAM for MSc in Mathematics. 

Hey as per the new education policy 2020 you can take the mixture of many subjects while doing your graduation in any particular subject. But as IIT Roorkee has not completely implemented this new policy so you have to take mathematics as compulsory in 10+2 along with chemistry.

The tuition fee waiver / concession in IITs and NITs are as follows: For GEN and OBC students having annual family income less than Rs. 1 Lacs and all SC, ST & PwD students: 100% tuition fee waiver. Only fee in other heads like exam fee, hostel and mess fee, gymkhana fee, etc., need to be paid.For GEN and OBC students having annual family income between Rs. 1 Lacs and Rs. 5 lakh: 2/3rd waiver in tuition fee. Only 33.33% of tuition fee need to be paid.For GEN and OBC students having annual family income above Rs. 5 Lacs or those students who are not desirous of obtaining fee waiver or have not submitted income certificate: Full tuition fee need to be paid.

The mode of IIT Roorkee admission 2023 is online. Candidates willing to seek admission to any of IIT Roorkee's courses must appear for the respective entrance exam and qualify for the IIT Roorkee cut-off and PI rounds.
