For the general category under All India, the opening rank was 3260 and the closing rank was 8741. Cutoffs are different when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even the domicile of the home state. In All India, the opening and closing rank for female candidates was 10182 and 15241. Admission to BTech (Hons) in Computer Science and Engineering at NIT Jamshedpur is based on the scores obtained in the JEE Main entrance exam. In 2022, it increased to 47706. Likewise, the cut off ranks have changed from 61870 to 57695 for OBC, 142481 to 134751 for SC, 7010 to 193604 for ST, 52349 to 50298 for EWS, 39104 to 2012 for PWD. This trend is likely to continue in the coming years, as the demand for engineering education in India continues to grow. Similar cut off trend can be seen for female candidates under all categories however the ranks are slightly different.
