Certificate in Accounting Technician course i.e. CAT is offered by ICWAI (ICMAI). It will be an added value in your academics. To be proficient in accounting, you can pursue CAT+ADCA (Advance Diploma in Computer Application) from recognised training institutes.

I am afraid, the eligibility for admission into M.Com stream is limited to the students who have completed their graduation in B.Com or BBA or equivalent streams of education, and engineering graduates are apparently not eligible to appear for M.Com. I think you need to think it over and then decide to do something different than m com. Here I would like to advise you to download the application form cum brochure of IGNOU the Distance Education University and go through its eligibility criteria for each of the course. I am sure as an engineer, you will find many courses for which you are eligible and maybe you are interes

You may wait for the ICAI registration revalidation letter; it is usually received within 15-25 days of submitting the application for revalidation of registration. Or you may check it online on ICAI's cloud server- ICAI Reprint Letter. ICAI Reprint Letter is an E-service provided at the ICAI Cloud server for students and Members. ICAI Students and Members can their reprint their registration letter here.

Let me tell you one thing. Mumbai University is the easiest thing to opt for. People won't give you the quantum of credit even if you perform well there. Because, everyone knows it is easy, so if you really want to add something worthy in your CV, then go for Delhi University or Calcutta University.
