Firstly, know that the true actors are born in theatre. If you really want to become an actor for the sake of art and not for money or fame, participate in a lot of street plays and dramas.
* There are many institutes for the same:
1. FTII-Pune
2. NSD-New Delhi
3. AAFT
4. RKFMA-New Delhi
5. Whistling Woods International, Mumbai
6. Delhi Film Institute, New Delhi
7. ZIMA-Mumbai
*Above all, love your craft and keep on improving your skills.

It depends on the institute, where you wish to apply. Kindly mention the name of the institute for a better guidance.

As we all know that if there is a will there is a way. Though both the professions are opposite to each other but you can definitely do it. If you are an aspiring IAS officer and you wish to act you can be a part of theater and simultaneously you can go with your IAS training. As these days there are two types of theatre morning and evening. Just see what suits you and work hard to make your dream true as dreams are supposed to be fulfilled.
Good luck!
