Hi Sonali!
There is, of course, no certainty where will you be placed. But a Diploma from Xavier's holds a great value in the market. If you are too keen on having a job in Goa after the completion of your course, I would suggest you to not rely on college placements alone. Rather, make your own efforts and do your own research for the organisations that are there in Goa. Find your relevant profile and apply for it.

Hi Ankit,
Xavier Institute of Communication is the best college in Mumbai for a PGD in advertising and marketing course. Apart from this, there is Peal Academy, EMDI Institute and Livewires Media Institute which are also good options in Mumbai.

Hi Satyam,
At UG level, there is only Journalism and Mass Communication course that you can pursue. It has advertising as one of its main subjects. You can take up a specialised course in advertising at PG level once you complete your graduation.

There is no particular age limit to pursue a Diploma in PR. You can pursue the course right out of school (Class 12th). Graduates of a humanities background are eligible to take up Public relations during their higher studies in PR colleges. Post-graduate degrees and Diplomas are required to get placed in the field. Most Diploma courses in public relations last one year. There are short-term certificate courses also available that last a couple of months. Some colleges have entrance exams, while others also take up students on merit.
Regards.

Hi Jainish,
If your ultimate goal is to obtain a PR then you should target Canada or Australia. Not that obtaining a PR is easy but they have good and flexible options for international students as compared to USA. You should keep yourself updated with some global news to know the latest immigration policies in the countries of your choice, I will infact also ask you to contact an immigration agent who can show you stats and career outcomes of international applicants. Just for your knowledge, the pharma industry is huge in Canada.
