To enter the field of advertising and media planning you will have to do a course in advertising and then specialise in media planning. You could also take another route, by doing MBA and specialising in marketing. A course in economics, mathematics or statistics is often helpful. This lets a person delve into demographic and psychographic reports and to analyse data. Since a contemporary media planner has to work with electronic media models, relevant knowledge of these is essential.

Dear Anshika,
If you are working in the field of advertising management and you want to enhance your knowledge base, then it is beneficial only when you can have opportunities to apply that knowledge. Advertising Management is a practical field and any sort of distance programme will be of limited help, if you are not getting any opportunities to apply that knowledge.

MBA in advertising and media marketing has various institutes to be studied in. One of the best in India can be Mundra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad. It has decent fees and the higher level of education along with the practical application of the same. There are even more institutes you may fetch it out.

One automatically would become a good copywriter after successful completion of the Advertising Degree program. Copywriting is an integral part of our advertising course and we take good care at the time of selection itself whether a student would be able to develop design skills, communication skills, copywriting skills, storytelling skills, creative skills etc so that he would become a right fit in the course and thereby the best fit in the fascinating field of advertising.

You don't need an MBA in advertising degree and there is no MBA in anchoring. You can pursue mass communication because it's better in terms of placements for advertising and anchoring.
