The prominent government players, as rightly pointed out by Sanket, are ISRO, HAL, few DRDO labs like GTRE, ADA, DRDL and NAL. A few private companies like Tata, L & T, Mahindra, Taneja too have aerospace divisions, which basically cater to either the Indian government companies that I had mentioned above, or do consultancy activities for foreign aerospace companies. Aerospace engineering is a wide area, and we should not think that being an aerospace engineer means working in the field of aerodynamics or flight dynam

Hello Sathish,
Though the cut off gets reduced, the competition level will be high. So, it is better to have a cut off of 195 and above to get aeronautical engineering at MIT Chennai, if you belong to OC. For other categories, the cut off varies.

Hello Krupesh,
There is absolutely no difference between B.Tech and BE. Both are same. It's just that some institutions offer B.Tech while others offer BE.Aeronautics is the name of subject we study while aerospace is the name of the industry that manufactures items related to flying objects. Unfortunately in India both these terms are used interchangeably and hence you treat them as same.
