The Indian Air Force prescribes the AFCAT syllabus. The authority responsible for exams maintains the authority to establish and modify the syllabus. General awareness, English verbal ability, quantitative ability, reasoning, and the military aptitude test are all included in the AFCAT test syllabus. No, there is no sectional cutoff in the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) . Candidates have to score above the overall minimum qualifying marks in order to be eligible for admission process and counseling.

The AFCAT exam is administered by the Indian Air Force (IAF) in two shifts: morning and afternoon. The morning shift for AFCAT runs from 9.45 a.m. to 11.45 a.m. AFCAT shift time for the afternoon shift is 2.45 pm to 4.45 pm. The Flying Allowance granted to Flying Branch Officers and the Technical Allowance given to Technical Branch Officers are among the allowances to which Air Force Officers are entitled.
