AFCAT administers the 300-mark exam. The exam consists of 100 questions, each carrying three marks. The AFCAT syllabus is common to all branches. The syllabus includes general awareness, verbal ability, numerical ability, reasoning, and a military aptitude test. The AFCAT syllabus for ground duty branch is provided below: AFCAT General Awareness Syllabus includes topics such as history, sports, geography, the environment, civics, basic science, defence, art, culture, current affairs politics, and so on. The AFCAT Verbal Ability Syllabus covers English Comprehension, Error Detection, Sentence Completion, Synonyms, Antonyms, and Vocabulary Testing. Numerical ability includes decimal fractions, simplification, averages, profit and loss, percentages, ratios and proportions, and simple interest. Reasoning and Military Aptitude Test: Verbal and Spatial Ability.

The Indian Air Force prescribes the AFCAT syllabus. The authority responsible for exams maintains the authority to establish and modify the syllabus. General awareness, English verbal ability, quantitative ability, reasoning, and the military aptitude test are all included in the AFCAT test syllabus. With the exception of mathematics, all other subject areas will have graduation-level questions. The Mechanical, Electrical, and Electronics, and Computer Science engineering topics are covered in the EKT syllabus. The Indian Air Force administers the AFCAT exam to select candidates for a variety of Air Force positions. The AFCAT exam is given twice a year, in December and June, respectively.

The AFCAT exam is administered by the Indian Air Force (IAF) in two shifts: morning and afternoon. The morning shift for AFCAT runs from 9.45 a.m. to 11.45 a.m. AFCAT shift time for the afternoon shift is 2.45 pm to 4.45 pm. Candidates must complete 100 questions from the General Awareness, Verbal Ability in English, Numerical Ability and Reasoning, and Military Aptitude Test during the two-hour AFCAT exam. The candidate's admit card contains information about the timing of the AFCAT shift and the reporting time.

The Indian Air Force administers the AFCAT test, also known as the Air Force Common Admission Test, to applicants seeking Class 1 gazetted officers in the Flying and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) branches. The Engineering Knowledge Test, or EKT, is administered to applicants for technical branches. There are 100 questions on the AFCAT exam, divided into four categories: general awareness, aptitude test, military reasoning, numerical ability, and verbal ability in English. The AFCAT exam is worth 300 total points. The test will take two hours to complete. There are fifty subject-specific engineering questions on EKT. Mechanical, computer science, and electrical and electronics are the subjects of the questions. The test has a total of 150 marks and lasts for 45 minutes.
