AFCAT exam means Air Force Common Admission Test. This exam is taken to select candidates for admission in Flying and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) branches in Indian Air Force. AFCAT exam is conducted by Indian Air Force. CDS exam is conducted for candidates who wish to make their career in the Defence Forces- Army, Navy, and Air Force. Selected candidates undergo training at Indian Military Academy (IMA), Indian Naval Academy (INA), Air Force Academy (AFA). The selection process of CDS comprises written exam and SSB Interview. The AFCAT selection process comprises online test and AFSB interview.

To find your exam center for AFCAT, you need to refer to the details provided during the application process. AFCAT exam centers are disclosed to candidates at the time of application submission. Candidates are required to choose their preferred locations before submitting their application form. The exam centers are announced in the official notification released by the Indian Air Force (IAF) and are conducted in more than 100 cities across India. The complete location of the exam hall is printed on the admit card itself.

If any candidate does not receive their admit card in their registered email ID or is unable to download it or there is any discrepancy, they should immediately contact AFCAT Query Cell at C-DAC, Pune. No candidates are allowed to appear in the exam without admit card. Therefore, candidates are advised to get it corrected as early as possible.

No, scoring well on AFCAT (English) alone isn't enough. To qualify for the AFSB interview, you need to clear both the AFCAT cutoff (English) and the EKT cutoff (applicable to technical branches) in the AFCAT exam.
