The AFCAT 2 2024 Admit Card was released on July 24, 2024 for all the eligible candidates.The Indian Air Force (IAF) has declared the AFCAT 2 Result 2024, according to reports. Candidates who have appeared of the examination can visit the official website to check and download their results. The AFCAT 2 exam was held on August 9, 10 and 11, 2024.

After the declaration of AFCAT results, a merit list is prepared by the IAF for candidates who scored qualifying marks in online tests. After several weeks, qualified candidates receive a call letter for an AFSB interview. The candidates are required to select an AFSB date, time and venue. AFSB Interview is conducted in three stages. The final merit list is prepared based on the marks secured in the online test and AFSB interview. Dehradun (1 AFSB), Mysuru (2 AFSB), Gandhinagar (3 AFSB), and Varanasi (4 AFSB) are the centers for AFSB interviews.

The time period it takes for an AFSB interview to get underway after the declaration of AFCAT results can vary. After the declaration of AFCAT results, qualified candidates are required to select the AFSB date, time and venue. AFSB Interview is conducted in three stages. Candidates had to login to the official website to check the result for AFCAT. Steps to check AFCAT result are as follows:

• Go to the official website of IAF.

• Click on AFCAT Result link on the home page. 

• Login using email Id and password. 

• On successful login, the results would be displayed on the screen.

• Download and take a printout of the AFCAT result scorecard.

AFCAT exam is conducted to select candidates for the Flying Branch and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) branches. The testing body establishes the AFCAT marking scheme. The marking scheme shows the points that candidates receive for right answers and the points that are subtracted for incorrect responses. The AFCAT exam is worth 300 total points. The following is the AFCAT marking scheme: Those who provide accurate replies receive three marks. For instance, out of 35 questions in the reasoning portion, candidates have properly answered 20 of them. They will receive sixty points. You will lose one mark for each incorrect response. Indian Air Force (IAF) will release AFCAT 2 exam centres along with the official notification. The exam is scheduled to be conducted in more than 100 cities. Candidates are required to choose five test cities while filling out the AFCAT application form. Candidates are allotted AFCAT exam centres in the cities selected by them. The examination authority reserves the right to allot the exam cities to the candidates. If AFCAT exam centres selected by candidates are filled, then they are allotted to the other available centres. The examination authority does not entertain any request to change the exam centre once announced.

AFCAT scorecard can be downloaded online only. The hard copy of the scorecard is not sent to candidates by post. To download the scorecard, candidates need to enter the required credentials. The scorecard displays the scores secured by candidates in the exam.

AFCAT marks are calculated using the normalisation process since the exam is conducted in multiple shifts. Normalisation of marks is done to adjust the difficulty level of the question papers since the exam is conducted in multiple shifts and dates. This is done to maintain transparency in the process.
