Both Banaras Hindu University (BHU) and Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) are top universities. In 2024 rankings, BHU is ranked #25 and AMU is ranked #12 in the law category. Moreover, as per the placements report of 2022 for both the universities, the LLM students have secured jobs in reputed firms. The admission standards for B.Voc in Fashion Design and Garment Technology in AMU have been changing for the past three years by categories. For the general category, the cutoff has been raised progressively from 45-50 in 2020-2021 to 50-55 in 2021-2022 and from 55-60 in 2022-2023 session. Like that for reserved categories such as SC, ST, OBC and EWS the cutoff marks for the academic years 2020-2021 were between 35-40%, for the year 2021-2022 were between 40-45% and now for the year 2022-2023 the cutoff marks range between 45-50%.

Aligarh Muslim University BA admission is a multi-step process. It starts with online application. For this, candidates can visit the university's admission portal on its official website. BA admission at the university is completely entrance-based. Hence, the next step is to appear for an entrance exam. Depending upon the BA specialisation chosen by a candidate, the admission is provided based on candidates' marks in either AMU Entrance Exam or CUET-UG.
