Aligarh University does not admit students to its BTech courses without an entrance test. It conducts its own entrance exam, namely the Aligarh Muslim University Engineering Entrance Examination. Students who wish to take admission must appear for this exam and then take part in the seat allocation process.

AMU offers scholarships to meritorious students. The BTech applicants of the university can avail the desired scholarship scheme if they meet the respective criteria. Moreover, the university provide scholarships under two categories as mentioned below:

AMU BTech aspirants have to apply for AMUEEE and must know its schedule. The application procedure is generally carried out from Mar to Apr. AMUEEE is conducted by the university for the BTech course admission. The aspirants who fulfil the eligibility criteria can appear for the exam and secure a valid score. AMUEEE is an objective-type exam with questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects. Students wanting to take the exam can visit the AMU official website to register and apply.

For admission to the MBBS course at AMU, applicants are obliged to complete the minimum eligibility criteria first, appear for the NEET exam, and get selected in the counselling process. While appearing in the entrance exam, candidates must ensure that they have completed their Class 12 from AMU or an examination recognised by the university as equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English with a minimum of 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry & Biology are eligible to get an MBBS seat at AMU.
