AMU BSc application process is conducted online. Interested candidates can visit the admission portal on the university's official website to submit their applications. Candidates seeking admission to the BSc specialisations where CUET UG is the selection criteria must separately apply for the entrance exam by visiting the exam portal on NTA's website. AMU BSc admission is strictly entrance-based. Candidates must apply and appear for the accepted entrance exam as per their preferred specialisation. Candidates seeking admission to the following BSc specialisations at AMU must appear for CUET UG in order to gain admission:
- BSc (Hons) in Community Science
- BSc (Hons/Research) in Geography
- BSc (Hons/Research) in Statistics
- BSc (Hons/Research) in Education
- BSc (Hons/Research) in Women's Studies
Candidates seeking admission to any other BSc specialisation will have to appear for AMU EE, the entrance exam conducted by the university.

Both AMU and JNU provide full-time BSc programme in various specialisations. To help students decide which among the two is a better option for pursuing a BSc, the following observations have been drawn from the BSc student reviews available on Shiksha.com:

The AMU BSc in Biochemistry curriculum is designed in a way to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the chemical processes within living organisms. Spread over a duration of three years, which in total is six semesters. Each semester, students will get to learn certain core and Ability Enhancement Discipline Centric Courses. Some of the subjects included are Biomolecules, Microbiology & Virology, Enzymology, Biostatistics, etc.

AMU BSc admission process begins with applying for the entrance exam. The university conducts AMU entrance exam (AMU EE) to admit students to its BSc programme. The AMU EE dates vary from year to year. In 2024, the application process strated in March and continued till the thrid week of April. Admission to some BSc courses at AMU is based on CUET UG scores. Hence, candidates seeking admission to these courses must apply for the CUET UG exam before the application deadline. The application process for the exam typically begins in February.

AMU has a pre-defined set of eligiblity criteria for admission to the various BSc specialisations that it provides. The eligibility crietra vary across the specialisations. In general, a candidate must have scored a minimum of 50% in Class 12 with relevant Science subjects to be eligible for BSc admission at AMU. The relevant subjects may vary depending upon the choice of specialisation. Further, candidates must not be more than 24 years old as of July 01 in the year of admission.
