Both Aligarh Muslim University and Banaras Hindu University offer a list of UG and PG courses. In the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2023 rankings, AMU is ranked 09, whereas BHU is ranked 05 in the University category. Also, in the overall university category, BHU is ranked 11, the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) ranked at the 19 spot in the list. Talking about AMU placements 2022, during Aligarh Muslim University BTech and MBA placements 2022,  the median package offered was INR 5.5 LPA. Talking about BHU MBA placements 2022, the median package offered was INR 8.0 LPA. For undergraduate admission to courses, including BA (Hons), BVoc and BSc (Hons) through CUET-UG, candidates must have a valid CUET-UG score. For BA (Hons) admission, candidates must have to attempt the Domain/ General/ Languages sections of CUET while appearing for the entrance test along with the minimum eligibility criteria set by AMU. Final selection for most of the UG and PG courses via CUET is based on candidates' performance in the counselling round. Talking about the minimum eligibility requirement for AMU UG courses, candidates must have passed the Class 12 with a minimum aggregate of 50%. Aligarh Muslim University offers a wide range of courses at the UG, PG and PhD levels. AMU courses are being offered under AMU's 13 faculties, including Agricultural Sciences, Arts, Commerce, Engineering & Technology and Law, among others. At the undergraduate level, the University offers BSc (Hons), BA (Hons), MBBS, BE/ BTech, BVA, BCom (Hons), BArch, BVoc and BSc Nursing, among others. At the postgraduate level, AMU offers MA, MSc, MBA, MCom, MTTM, MTech, MVoc, LLM, M.Lib.I.Sc, M.Ed and M.P.Ed, among others. AMU admission 2023 is ongoing for all undergraduate and postgraduate courses via CUET. Interested candidates need to visit the official website of the National Testing Agency (NTA) to register for the CUET entrance exam. Meanwhile, AMU BTech admission is also open for the academic year 2023. The University accepts Aligarh Muslim University Engineering Entrance Examination (AMUEEE) for BTech admission. AMU BTech Firm List 3 is expected to release on Jul 26. AMU releases Firm Lists containing the names of provisionally selected candidates for the further process for AMU admission 2023 to UG, PG and Diploma courses on the official website. The merit list for counselling is released for various other courses.

AMU Firm List has been released for courses, including BSc, BCom, BA LLB and Diploma courses between Jul 8 and Jul 10. Selected candidates must accept the admission and pay the admission fee between Jul 11 and Jul 13. The last day as a grace period with a fine for admission and payment of fee is Jul 14. Earlier, AMU released BTech Firm List 1 on Jul 5. Every year, AMU releases department/ faculty of study-wise lists of provisionally selected candidates followed by the release of Firm Lists, which goes up to Round 8 for some courses.

Candidates whose names appear in the list must report physically as per the schedule. Further, the process of preparation and display of AMU Firm List 2 for courses including BSc, BCom, Diploma is expected to be held between Jul 22 and Jul 23 and for BTech Firm List 2 process is expected to be held between Jul 17 and Jul 18.
