If you're looking for high-paying job profiles, Anthropology can disappoint you a bit. But Anthropology can give you a wide career scope where you can explore many fields like research, social services, government departments, international organizations, diplomatic services, etc. Roles like Research Assistant, Museum Manager, etc., can get you a salary around INR 4 - 5 LPA, and with some relevant experience, the salary package will get higher.

Anthropology courses are offered mostly at the degree level. You'll find Anthropology courses mainly at the UG, PG, and PhD levels. Hence, their durations are fixed. For example, 3-4 years for undergraduate, 2 years for postgraduate, and 3-5 years for doctoral programs.

There are so many Anthropology colleges offering admission on the merit system. All you need to do is check the eligibility criteria for your desired college and the course level you're seeking admission to. For example, colleges like University of Lucknow, IGNOU, Kannur University, University of Mysore, Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam, etc., offer admission to BA in Anthropology on a merit basis.

Hello Sujatha, this woman's University in Bijapur in Karnataka offers many courses. However I could not find any course for M.A. In anthropology. But generally speaking they had mention eligibility for different M.A. Courses as having graduation in the concerned subject. But many times different universities allow engineering graduates to go in for was graduation in many of the subjects in arts. I would therefore recommend that you should bring up the register for the administrative side of the university for clarification on this issue. Best wishes to you.
