You can check the official website of JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) to see the list of participating institutes and the courses offered by them. If NIT Surathkal is a participating institute and offers B.Tech in Artificial Intelligence, it should be included in the JoSAA choice filling process.

If you are certain that you want to specialize in Al and ML, go for the course. But if you want a broader knowledge of computer Science or if you feel like you may want to switch careers, go for computer Science engineering and then later specialize in your preferred subject.
