Many of the colleges do accept the sports quota. Mostly these Colleges are deemed universities. You can see If the college is accepting the sports quota, by directly approaching the college authority.

Being honest with you Sports Engineering is a real good option for those who have a passion of doing it because it's a little less glamorous job compare to others.
Also, in India it will take time to get the momentum. It's a fact that in India sports are being developed but it's hard to say that being a sports engineer success will be there.

It is not mandatory to have all such achievements to get final admission. There are people who have secured admission without these as well. However, if you have such achievements, then it will be an added advantage for you in the further process.
