Yes, good placement for M.Tech at IIST (Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology). In 2023, the highest package offered was INR 28 LPA for M.Tech in Machine Learning and Computing. Many of our courses achieved over 50% in terms of placements. Others had 100% placement rates. That's why the institute has good links with entities such as ISRO which directly hires students and opens up great career prospects for students in the realm of space sciences.

Attaining the B.S-M.S programme of IISER will turn out to be quite effective for carrying an astronomy-related career, primarily provided followed by doing a PhD in a similar programs. For doing a sound education consisting of theoretical principles at high intensity along with experimental research inputs on the platform is required if advancing into study with astrophysics-related domains. The students graduating from IISER tend to continue in Ph.D. programs, not only in India but also abroad. Strong research foundations and networking help them do this. So, most alumni find positions as research scientists, academics, or industry pr

As you are an 11th class commerce student, yes you can become an astronaut or study astronomy. It's not very late as you are in 11th only. So to get into the field of astronomy, you are adviced to change your subject in 12th only so that you do not face any problem in pursuing Bachelor's in astronomy. After that you can complete Masters in fields like MSc Astronomy etc. So yes, you still have chances of becoming an astronaut.
