There are around 4 private and 4 government colleges in India which offer MSc Astronomy courses. these colleges offer students a chance to work with qualified professionals and learn from their experience which will enhance their skillset and help them grow in this field.

Students having a strong foundation in physics, chemistry and mathematics won't find much harder to pursue MSc Astronomy. The curriculum consists of subjects which cover detailed aspects of planetary and celestial bodies which allow students to learn more about the field of Astronomy.

Yes, you can do a Master's in Space Science after doing B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE). Most of the universities consider candidates from engineering backgrounds for their space Science programs, provided you have a sound interest in the field. Be sure to check prerequisites for any of the university names you are interested in because some may require specific courses already completed or relevant experience before you can apply. As a BSc in Astronomy and Astrophysics graduate, you'll have a plenty of career opportunities in both private and government sectors around the world. You can even get the chance to work in the world-class research organizations like ISRO, NASA, BARC, etc., with popular Scientists.
Astronomy is also an interesting field that studies the outer space and not every person gets the exposure to see celestial bodies this closely.

Yes, good placement for M.Tech at IIST (Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology). In 2023, the highest package offered was INR 28 LPA for M.Tech in Machine Learning and Computing. Many of our courses achieved over 50% in terms of placements. Others had 100% placement rates.
