Currently BITS does not offer automobile engineering degree courses. You can do mechanical engineering at BITS and do a specialization in automobile engineering in M.Tech or MS.

You may find it difficult to study in the field of automotive because of your lack of PCM background. It is unfair but it is the reality of our education system.

Hello Prem,
It is the best to pursue mechanical engineering at the graduation level. Firstly, its one of those 'perpetual' branches for which job prospects will always be available. Secondly, after obtaining degree in this branch, possibilities are endless if you want to do PG. Automobiles is of course possible. But you never know what situation would be when you want to take the plunge. Many more exciting offers may be available. On the other hand if you opt for Automobile Engineering at Graduation level, your options for PG get really limited. Hence my advise, go for mechanical engineering without any hesitation.
