Aviation is not a specific course. Aviation has many branches. Such as Air Navigation Service, Cabin Crew/ Air Hostess, Cargo Management, Flying/ Pilot Training, Ground Services, Aircraft Maintenance Engineering and Avionics. I'm going to assume that your interest is Cabin Crew/Air Hostess. For this particular course there are around 140 college/ training institutes in India. Most of them offer a diploma and some only training certificate. Once you finish your course you have a wide variety of airline companies to choose from. Especially since the industry is seeing considerable growth. You may get placed in a reservation department, c

I would recommend you to go and get your class II Medical Done First. Once you clear it, go for the SPL+CPL classes. But first, enroll in the SPL class, only to see if the subject really interests you, and if you are able to understand everything.

The eligibility criteria to get SPL is minimum 16 years of age and the candidate must have passed class 10th from a recognized board. The fee for the course is not disclosed by the institute. It is better, if you directly contact the college for the same.

The 3 basic measures to become a pilot in India are mentioned below -

  1. The first step is the SPL (student pilot license)
  2. Second step is the PPL (private pilot license)
  3. Third step is the CPL (commercial pilot license)
  4. To get a job you are still left to do your multi-engine rating and type rating.
  5. Once you do all these you are eligible to apply for a pilot's job.
