You can join NDA by taking the exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). This exam is conducted twice a year in all major cities throughout India. Eligibility Criteria
Age - 16 to 19 years (at the time of commencement of course)

NDA is the only option after 12th to join Indian Ari Force, however, if you do your graduation or Engineering, many opportunities come your way. CDSE Entry: - If in case you were wise and didn't opt for engineering and instead got into B.Sc. course, or another corresponding course, you can give CDS Exam, again conducted by UPSC twice a year. Kindly note, even engineers can apply through CDS Entry, actually, they can apply everywhere. :P
AFCAT Air Force Common Admission Test. oFor all entries other than CDSE and for all branches, candidates have to undergo the AFCAT. - the test is conducted twice a year in February and August. - Advertisements inviting applications for AFCAT are out in June and December. Candidates are to apply as per the advertisement. - The test is conducted all across India by the Indian Air Force

The job profile of a Cabin Crew is hospitality based. It includes the person to be personable and presentable. Most importantly they should be loud and clear in communication. Their work includes handling a variety of passengers who belong to both domestic and international sectors. They may be known to English only or Hindi only or maybe some other language altogether. Hence during the interview for Cabin Crew, it is assessed as to how well you can communicate. It should be basically loud enough to be heard by the other person even over the phone line or the PA system. And the clarity should be of such order that the words come out clear and do not fumble. The level of nervousness is also and equally important measure while assessing candidates for such profiles. Hence you should look confident and presentable. Dressing sense and grooming also forms an integral part of such interviews. As only well-dressed person shall be heard by others and given attention too. You should be well prepared for questions like:
1. Introduce yourself? - Here they look to hear from you how suitable you are for the role.
2. What regional or foreign languages you know? - They wish to know exactly what other languages can you speak and understand apart from Hindi and English. You might be asked to talk to them in the language which you answer.

Actually, you do not require any training to get hired as a cabin crew, all your training is conducted by the airline itself. Each airline has its own SOP (Standard Operating Procedures), wherein certain compulsory procedures are same in all the airlines whereas the supplementary procedures vary drastically. Most of the Institutes which provide training for cabin crew do not have enough infrastructure to conduct the training in a realistic environment. DGR (Dangerous Goods), AVSEC (Aviation Security), Evacuation, etc., are some of the basic and most important training, which only an airline can conduct in a realistic manner. As it requires proper approval from the designated authority and real-time infrastructure which only airlines can afford. So, you should basically work on your looks, language, communication skills and preventability, to walk-in for any cabin crew interview.

Getting Job after completing CPL depends on the present market needs. Nowadays, airlines have started looking towards type rated candidates. Some airlines have also switched to training the candidates through their own cadet pilot programmes. There are some airlines who actually hire candidates who have a commercial pilot license and the selection process includes:
1. Technical Exam
2. Compass Test
3. Interview
4. Medicals
5. Induction. Some airline also put Psychometric test and group discussion, as a part of their selection procedure. Others who look for candidates with Type Rating on certain fleet like Airbus or Boeing or ATR, for simulator check and interview followed by medicals. You may target vacancies for CPL holders, which are comparatively less in numbers when compared to those of type rated pilots. So, after CPL, you may have to go for type rating depending on which airline you are targeting and of course, the decision shall also be influenced by the current market. So, extra expenses after CPL is of getting type rated on any particular fleet to get a job and that depends on the current market needs.
