If you are looking to become a cabin crew then you should be aware that the minimum eligibility criteria is just 10+2. Apart from this, there are certain medical standards which need to be satisfied by each candidate. It covers eyesight, BMI, etc. Airlines, usually, conduct walk-in interview for cabin crew position. For non-type rated first officer- Valid ICAO ATPL or Frozen ATPL (ATPL Theory Passes/Credits and MCC).
-Valid Instrument Rating (IR).
-Valid Class One Medical.
-English language proficiency level 4 or above.
-Not older than 55 years at the time of joining Qatar Airways.
-Type rated and current on any of ERJ190/ ERJ195 /EMB1000/ Fokker100/Bombardier GL5000 with a minimum of 1,500 hours airline flying.
-Must have flown a commercial jet in the past 12 months prior to joining Qatar Airways.
Qatar Airways MPL Programme.
For their cadet programme in Singapore.
-Age: 18-32 (as of the programme commencement date).
-Education: Minimum GCE 'A' Levels certificate or Diploma.
-International English Language Testing System.
-Academic Certificate with a minimum score of 6.0.
-Able to pass the relevant government and QCAA medical examinations.
-No criminal conviction or finding of guilt (includes all motor vehicle traffic-related convictions).
-Male Singaporeans must have completed their full-time National Service.
-Pass the selection process of STAA and Qatar Airways (computer-based assessment and interviews).
-Agree to be bonded to Qatar Airways for a period not less than 5 years upon graduation.
-Successful candidates will spend 18 months on training to acquire an MPL at STAA in Singapore and overseas.

To become a commercial pilot:
1. You need to first possess a student pilot license. You must be over 17 years of age and have completed 12th in Science (Physics and mathematics) with 50%.
2. Your vision in one eye must be perfect. In general medical terminology, it is called 6/6 eyesight. In the other eye, you could have an imperfection of 6/9, which must be correctable to 6/6.
3. General physical fitness is mandatory. You must be free of any disease that can hamper normal function.
4. You need to register at a flying club which is recognised by Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Government of India.
5. Next is private pilot license which includes sixty hours of flying. A commercial pilot license may be obtained only after a PPL and 250 hours of flying. Some of the institutes offering commercial pilot training are:

This involves taking an exam conducted by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation* consisting of theory papers on air navigation, aviation meteorology, air regulation and technical aspects. Your vision in one eye must be perfect. In general medical terminology, it is called 6/6 eyesight. In the other eye, you could have an imperfection of 6/9, which must be correctable to 6/6. General physical fitness is mandatory. You must be free of any disease that can hamper normal function. You need to complete the requisite number of hours, clear written papers and the medical examination. You need 70 percent marks to pass in each of these papers.
