You may definitely pursue the Economics Honors from Delhi University, provided you have mathematics or Business Mathematics as one of the subjects at 10+2 level. The eligibility for the same requires the candidate to have passed Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (10+2) of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi with a pass in 4 subjects (English, Mathematics and two Elective Subjects) or an examination recognised as equivalent there to, with 55% or more marks in the aggregate of these four subjects. Dear,
Through both the programmes, you can prepare for civil services exam but as a professional degree, I would prefer Economics (Honors) Programme because if you not able to crack the exam. Then, you can start your job or further education for growth, knowledge and opportunities.

Cut-off is anywhere between 80% -85% for open category students. If you are not a domicile of Maharashtra, then it is more than 90%.

With BA Hons Economics degree even from top university, your choices of careers options are limited unless you are targeting Group A services with Government of India. Therefore, for long term career it will be good to do post-graduation preferably MBA. It will open a door of opportunities in corporate career.
