To get admission in English (Hons.), your percentage in class 12 exams is considered. Every college releases its own cut off list, till no seat is left vacant. Generally, 10 lists are released.
Your percentage should be equal to or more than the percentage in the cut off lists.
Your percentage is calculated from your best four subjects. You being a science student, have to include: physics/chemistry/maths/ English. You may include your optional subject such as computers/ economics/ history etc. in place of a main subject. In case you wish to include physical education/ music/ home science in best of four subjects, 2.5% will be deducted from total Best Of Four percentage.

BA in English is a common subject, which students opt for as it offers a host of career options for the students. After completing graduation, students generally get confused whether to work or go for further studies. There are many professional courses like:

There are many academic courses like MA, M.Phil and Ph.D, which students can pursue if they want to go for research work or wants to be a professor.
Students can also go for management courses such as MBA and Master of financial programs and post graduate Diploma programs conducted by the leading institutes and universities are very good options. Students who take commerce as an additional subject have even higher prospects. MBA airline and airport management programs are also suitable options for them.
