No, I think you don't need to choose between the two. UG course of English hons is all in all full fledged. The best colleges to study English honours would be Jadavpur University, Presidency University, St. Xaviers College and Narendrapur Ramkrishna Mission College. These are all autonomous colleges or universities and offer the best faculty, syllabi and marks. They follow a semester system of evaluation which is more effective and profitable for the students than the yearly system. You can opt for Masters in Fine Arts. It's eligibility is UG course degree from any recognised institute and then entrance test will be conducted which varies from institute to institute. Hope this helps.

It is very simple. Firstly, clear UET entrance with good marks. And then, you will get admission in BA English Hons. Seats are very limited in English Hons and many students want to take English as Hons subject. So try to focus on making good score in UET entrance.

All of the subjects are related to English as a language and literature. This includes the history of English language ( old English , middle age English ) , the ages of English literature as in Victorian age , Elizabethan age, so the course gave you full-fledged information regarding English , this also includes other form as in poetry , prose, drama , epics, novels respective to their ages.

The eligibility for the course is securing 45% in any UG course. But, if there may be entrance test, so it would be better that you fulfill the condition to entrance test i.e, CLAT.
