MA in history from BHU is a good.
As you have done your BA from DU you should try for DU first.
I would like to give you a personal opinion, as you have done your BA in history, you can option for MA in archaeology if you are interested.
The colleges to pursue archaeology are-

Let me tell you that after BA, MA would be like an icing on the cake but you have other options like you can go for MBA, LLB and can also go for civil services like UPSC as you have mentioned that your elders asked you to pursue mass communication. Let me tell you that here comes the point of getting confused as students get confused. A student should either listen to what his/her elders say or do what they want. So, let me tell you, do what you like because you have to decide your future what you want to become. It's very nice to know that you have scored 70% in BA. This really very good. Now that you are a graduate, ask yourself as to what is your passion? What subject interests you? If you can align your MA subject with this, it would be best.
