The ideal duration for the completion of B.A in English Literature is minimum 3 years. Nowadays, a lot of universities have adopted the semester system. In the semester system of the programme, students have to appear in six semesters, wherein, two semesters comprise one year. Fees structure for BA in English is 18,000 INR - 100,000 INR.

Yes, you can get admission in Mumbai University but you have to produce the following documents. Furthermore, you have to fall in university merit list or meet the cutoff criteria as prescribed by the university:
1. S. C. Mark sheet /Passing Certificate
2. 12th Mark sheet & Passing Certificate
3. Date of Birth Proof (L. C. / T. C)
4. Migration Certificate.

Admissions in this college are through online portal of DU. It's based on marks of 12th and no entrance exam is conducted. For UG: Candidates must have passed 10+2 with minimum qualifying marks in aggregate with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects. Independent entrance tests for this programme are also held by the various state, central, and private universities which mostly require 50% marks as the prerequisite to appear for the test.
