No, but if you want good professional job, you will have to write NATA/JEE, like if a company see your marks regarding the competitive exams, then they will select you. I would suggest you to write JEE/NATA.

I can't tell you about rank, but I think 220+ marks are sufficient to get a good college of architecture.

Dear,
None of university or Institute can offer you the admission for B.Arch without Nata or JEE mains score. If any of the university or institute offer you such admission, then do check the recognition and approval from concern authority.

If you get good scores in NATA 2017, then you can choose from RVSA or BMS or Dayanand or BGS School of Architecture and Planning.
