If you passed JEE Mains paper 1, then you are eligible for AAT, otherwise you can't give the AAT and you will get NIT college or any other private college if you want.

You need to qualify JEE Mains and then Advanced. On the result day of Advanced and I guess till one or two day later you can fill AAT. Upon qualifying AAT, you will be allotted college in B.Arch of IIT KGP & Roorkee on the basis of JEE Advanced rank.

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates seeking admission should have passed higher secondary examination (XII) with mathematics as a compulsory subject or three year Diploma (any stream) recognized by the Central or State Government with minimum of 50% of aggregate marks (45% aggregate for reserved category) and minimum 40% for SC and ST. Plus, you have to appear for the entrance exam conducted by DTE called MH CET and need to clear NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) which is conducted by the Council of Architecture at national level. As per the information available on the web, I got to know that JEE Mains paper 2 results are releasing on 27th May 2017 and AAT results will be out on 18-19 June while the exam for AAT is going to be conducted on 14th June.
