2 courses are provided by the university at the undergraduate level. B.Des and B.Arch courses are offered by the Anant National University. The duration of the B.Arch course is 5 years and the duration of B.Des course is 4 years.

  • Candidates should have been born on or after Oct 1, 1999., if belonging to Open/ EWS/ OBC-NCL Category and on or after October 1, 1994, if belonging to SC, ST or PwD Category.

Jindal School of Art and Architecture offers full-time BDes courses in 2 specialisations. Selection of the candidate for this course is done in three rounds:

  • Fill out the application form along with a personal statement.
  • Appear in Jindal Creative Aptitude Test or UCEED
  • Appear for a personal interview along with a portfolio review

After successfully clearing all the rounds, candidates are allotted a provisional seat.

Candidates who have twelve years of school education with minimum of five subjects by the National Open School or from a recognised board are eligible for the BDes at NIFT Chennai. Additionally, as per the Institution's guidelines, candidate's maximum age should be less than 24 years (5 years relaxation in upper age for people from reserved categories). Now candidates are only required to appear for the NIFT entrance exam for BDes admission.

Candidates who have cleared the Class 12/HSC exam in any stream from a recognised board are eligible for the BDes course. In addition, students must have the relevant documents for the same with them to be presented during the admission process.

Below are the eligibility & selection criteria for admission to the Bachelor of Design (BDes) programme at MIT Institute of Design:

  • The candidate must have passed class 12 in any stream.
  • Candidates must appear for the Design Aptitude Test (DAT) conducted by MIT Institute of Design based on which they will be selected for further admission rounds.
  • Candidates based on their performance in the DAT exam will be shortlisted for the Studio Test and Personal Interview (PI) rounds.
