For admission to a BDes course at Ellen College of Design, aspirants must have passed Class 12 or equivalent from a recognised board. The Class 12 pass from any discipline (Science/ Commerce/ Arts) is eligible to apply. Moreover, for verification, the candidate should have the mark sheets (of Class 10 and Class 12) with them at the time of admission, along with other important documents.

Candidates are required to meet the basic eligibility criteria for admission to BDes. The basic eligibility for BDes is to pass Class 12 from a recognised board. After fulfilling the eligibility criteria candidates need to apply online for admission and appear for the interview conducted by the university for final seat confirmation.

The eligibility criteria to get admission to BDes colleges through CUET in India are as follows:

  • Candidates should have completed their Class 12 or equivalent examination from a recognised board or university.
  • They should have studied subjects relevant to the BDes program, such as Fine Arts, Visual Arts, or any other related subjects.

The candidate must have passed the 10+2 exam, securing a minimum of 45% marks. Reserved category candidates need 40% marks. It is important that the candidates apply for admission only after ascertaining their eligibility. It is because if a candidate is found to be ineligible at any stage of the admission process, his or her candidature will be canceled.

The candidate needs to have passed 10+2 in any stream securing 50% marks. It is mandatory for the candidate to meet the prescribed criteria, or else he or she will not be offered admission. Candidates who have completed their 10+2 level or equivalent exams like AISSCE/ IB/ ICSE/ State Board etc. (in relevant stream) are eligible to apply for undergraduate degree programmes.

The eligibility criteria for WUD Aptitude Test is prescribed by the World University of Design. If the candidate doesn't meet the prescribed criteria, he or she may not be considered for admission.

IILM University Gurugram offers a 4 years programme in Interior Design. The eligibility criteria for the programme is candidate must have passed 10+2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognised Board / University; securing minimum of 50% marks.

For Master of Design course candidates should have Bachelor degree in any stream with aggregate 50% marks. Candidates appearing in last semester of their Bachelor degree can also apply.
